Facilitator: Melike Ateş
Experienced in the field of education for over 40 years, Melike is the co founder of Mind Academy and PTC Türkiye. She is also a PTC facilitator. She enjoys supporting teachers in becoming better teachers and helping leaders develop themselves and improve student learning.
Melike is an English teacher and has worked as the principal of Uskudar American Academy, a high school which was founded around 1870’s by the American Board. She worked as the principal of the school for ten years until she retired. She is a PTC Essential Skills Program graduate and has taken five PTC essential skills courses during her principal years and applied what she had learned at her school.
She carries out interactive workshops with the teachers and school leaders on leadership styles, school climate and culture, how to be an effective principal and building effective teams. She recently finished her second master’s degree on communication and now works on the field of reputation management and persuasion strategies. Melike is a very enthusiastic learner herself and her goal is to improve student learning and teacher development.
